Overview
Jamong is a social matching service built on the idea that ‘a little bitter lasts longer’. Profile verification, report/block and location protection are defaults, and a credit-based model keeps the first step light.
Challenge
Without trust, a matching service never gets a sign-up. Safety had to be visible from the first screen, monetization had to feel natural, and Korean and English users had to be served at once.
Solution
Safety policy lives inside the landing and sign-up flow, not on a separate page. Credits are spent per match only, removing plan anxiety. A design system with dark mode keeps both languages at equal quality, and a magazine section adds search traffic.
Strategy
Concept as copy
One line on the first screen sets the tone of every other screen.
Safety as UI
Verification, reporting, location protection and data minimisation are shown before sign-up.
Light monetization
Credits instead of plans — pay only for what you use.
Fast iteration
Continued refinements after launch: dark mode, badges, guides.
